December 30, was a Spirit-filled day for the members of the Basilica Joggers Club. They hosted breakfast for some 500 children at the Caceres Catechetical Center. The kids also enjoyed fun and games with the Jolibee mascots, then all went home. with an additional bag of goodies. A little girl was seen bundling her breakfast in a Styrofoam container so she was asked why she did not eat it, she said she’ll bring it home to share with her brother whom she left behind; a truly moving gesture!

This is one scene one can see in this yearly activity of the Club during Christmastime, under the leadership of Naga businessman and Club President Raul Rocha and 2011 Project Chairman, Evan Sychay, to bring cheer to some of Naga’s marginalized. Msgr Rodel Cajot said the blessing before the meal and then delivered a Christmas message.
